Calgary-Buffalo is a diverse and vibrant riding in the heart of Calgary.
The riding brings together broad mix of people from different age groups and backgrounds, making it a truly special place in the city of Calgary. Calgary-Buffalo has been very welcoming to newcomers - with the riding being many of its residents point of arrival to Calgary, the province Alberta or even Canada.
Culture is also at the centre of the riding, with many of Calgary’s cultural landmarks residing in Calgary-Buffalo, including the the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Martha Cohen Theatre, the Alberta Ballet and many more.
Omar has called Buffalo home for over five years. Since arriving, Omar has become a relationship builder in the community, volunteering frequently at places in and around Calgary-Buffalo, such as the Drop-In Centre and also serving on the board of directors of the Beltline Neighbourhoods Association. His roots in the riding run deep - he's built his career here, met the love of his life here, and calls this community home.
